Professor Umbridge can be very intimidating when she is around. I've noticed some people can't seem to focus on lessons when she's around either. Odd.

I'm thinking of starting up a study group for anyone who is interesting.

Just have to make a list of those interested and then find out when everyone is free.

Mother and I did some last minute shopping last night. I got this new book, a horror novel featuring vampires in New Orleans. It's by some author I had never heard of, but the lady in the book store said it was very good. It's called Lost Souls. It's actually very nicely written. The store clerk said that the author, Poppy Z. Brite, has another book out called Drawing Blood. Mother said she'd sent it to me when she can find it.

I'm all packed up, except for this book, for school in the morning. Mother is going to drop me off, but I'll be on my own heading to the train. I think after doing this for the past four years her and father both think I'm old enough to do this alone. Plus they have office hours first thing in the morning.

Is anyone interested in sharing a compartment on the train this year? I don't think this book is going to last the night. I've only got maybe two hundred pages left to read. I could probably use someone to talk to.
